PE

At Castle View, we aim to inspire an active generation by introducing children to a wide range of physical activities.  We teach the National Curriculum, supported by clear skills and knowledge progression using the 'Complete PE' framework. This ensures that skills and knowledge are built on year by year and sequenced appropriately to maximise learning for all children.  Children are encouraged to participate in exercise throughout the day, including during PE lessons, clubs, break time and lunch times and other special events. Our P.E. curriculum is designed to provide a variety of sports experiences for all children to take part in, to inspire them and to help them to develop their own confidence and self-esteem. We implement this by giving children the opportunity to participate in competitive, team and individual sports.

Teaching P.E. encourages children to cope with both success and failure and also enables children to become excellent young leaders through our opportunities. We aim to achieve the best we can in all sporting competitions, but also aim to recognise and celebrate the success of others.
